Amanda and her team aim to feed you well, provide you with great service and keep you happy. We believe your body functions better when it consumes clean yet delicious food. Therefore meals are prepared with grass-fed, free range and antibiotic free proteins and sustainable fish and seafood. Vegetables and grains are locally sourced when in season from farms that practice sustainable and organic farming.
After a successful career as a portfolio manager for a major Canadian bank, Ms Ford attended the French Culinary Institute in New York City and shortly thereafter in 2005 opened her first restaurant in Toronto, Fat Cat Wine Bar.
Ms Ford sold the restaurant in 2008 and began working with the esteemed Chris McDonald, Chef and Owner of Cava and Xococava and formerly of Avalon.
Ms Ford aided in the opening, and product development of Xococava, a chocolate and ice cream store and took charge of the catering and promotional events for both restaurants.
Currently Ms Ford continues to cater private and corporate events for Citygirl Catering, a full service catering and event planning company she launched in 2011. Citygirl Catering now also offers home meal delivery for clients who value local and organic products that are healthy and made with Citygirl flair.
